The Geospatial Software Laboratory (GSL) at Idaho State University is a research and development lab led by Dr. Daniel P. Ames at the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ours is one of three geotechnologies research facilities at ISU associated with the Department of Geosciences – with partner labs in Boise (BCAL) and Pocatello (GIS TReC).
"Visiting the Geospatial Software Lab and talking with Dr. Ames is not like walking into any other science lab on campus. It’s like walking into a student lounge, where everyone is working but everyone is having a great time. And their leader, Dr. Ames is having the best time of all."
